Drawing the Line: Safety Railing Systems that Protect Lives

Drawing the Line: Safety Railing Systems that Protect Lives

Easy to install fall protection where it matters most! Join us for this one-hour course on safety railing systems. Steel made and sustainable, this course will illustrate the benefits of fall prevention measures with these safety systems centered on ease of installation and project integration. Modular, ballasted and non-penetrating safety railing systems promote circularity and are LEED credit eligible. Highlighting the importance of a fully comprehensive product that does not rely on ad hoc integration, participants will investigate the value of comprehensive, integral safety rail systems. Throughout this course, participants will deepen their understanding of the hazards associated with roof worksites, OSHA protocols and maintenance industry safety. We will close with an evaluation of the benefits of safety railing systems for constructing the built environment.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Classify OSHA compliant safety railing systems with an assessment of passive v. active fall protection to determine the demand, site specific applications and work site safety benefits of these integral systems.
  2. Identify the advantages of the ballasted safety rail systems including the sustainability, cost-effectiveness and fall protection they offer.
  3. Appraise safety railing systems regarding third party testing, OSHA compliance and sustainable materials that inform product development and design.
  4. Survey applicable case studies related to safety railing systems that demonstrate how they contribute to safe environments for construction and maintenance industries.
