Mitigating Legionella Risks with Tankless Technology
Founded in 2009, after a traditional water heater broke down and flooded our founder, Sridhar Deivasigamani’s basement, Intellihot today designs, manufactures and assembles tankless water heaters for residential, commercial and industrial applications—the first to do so entirely in the United States. Quality and innovation are at the heart of all our products, which were developed following years of extensive research. We continue to be recognized for our innovative design – we currently have over 60 awarded and pending patents.
Eliminate the risk for Legionella and generate reliable hot water production with tankless water heaters! Join us for this one-hour course as we evaluate risks associated with Legionella and the health benefits of tankless water heaters. In this course, participants will investigate the standards aimed at eliminating Legionella risk from the water supply and the tankless hot water technologies that prevent such bacterial growth in domestic water systems. Through practiced implementation of effective ASSE standards, select tankless water heater manufacturers have engineered hot water systems that produce safe hot water for occupant use. At the end of this course, participants will be able to convey a thorough command of the health risks of Legionella in domestic water systems as well as the methods that effectively address those concerns in hot water production.
- Establish the conditions that directly lead to the development and growth of Legionella in order to determine how to best mitigate health related concerns.
- Assess the limitations of the current iteration of ASSE 1017 standard and distinguish additional procedural steps that optimize water safety such as the technology available in tankless water heaters.
- Evaluate how tankless technology can help you design a robust system while simultaneously reducing the risk of Legionella.
- Verify the correlation between tankless water heater technology and ASSE 1082 to better understand the advantages of choosing technology that alleviates health risk associated with hot water creation for occupant use.
